WHAT IS JUNIOR JOHNNIES?

Junior Johnnies is a program offered to assist your child, who will be commencing school the following year, to make the transition into school life less daunting.

WHAT DO JUNIOR JOHNNIES DO?

Junior Johnnies children are supervised by a qualified teacher to participate in group and individual activities. These activities vary from week to week and are designed to get children ready for school routines and learning.

HOW OFTEN WILL JUNIOR JOHNNIES BE HELD?

Term 4

The students will attend 4 x Half Day Orientation Sessions with the Kindergarten Teacher for the following year. These days are only open to students who have enrolled for Kindergarten at St John’s Primary School.

IS THERE A COST?

Junior Johnnies is offered to the community free of charge. Please ensure that you return a registration form to the School office prior to commencing Junior Johnnies.

CAN I STAY?

You are welcome to stay with your child until they are settled however; we encourage you to leave your child at school as soon as you are comfortable.

WHAT TO BRING?

Junior Johnnies are asked to bring a piece of fruit for Fruit Snack, some morning tea and a water bottle. Please dress your Junior Johnnie in play clothes, a hat and enclosed shoes ensuring all items are clearly labelled so we can return any misplaced items.
